it was created in the middle of real life!
As a mother, caregiver, Afro Latina woman
rooted in Social Work and
Community Advocacy
for over 40 years.
Found myself searching
for body care products that were truly safe and
free from harsh chemicals,
hormone disruptors,
and harmful ingredients.
While shopping did not want to become
"a label chemist" while grappling with
"clean" self care choices.
This search became urgent
as my family faced
serious health care
challenges including
battles with cancer!
Began returning to what I knew
tradition passed down, matriarchal wit.
Caribbean plant based
remedies,
ripe in
cultural knowledge,
oral traditions and
community wisdom.
Its all about small-batch preparation
rooted in care.
What started in my kitchen
as a necessity became something more:
a solution not just for my family,
but for my community.
